February 2019 Events in Our Schools

Cople Elementary

On February 19th Cople Second Graders went to Swift Creek Mill Theatre in South Chesterfield, VA to attend the play, "Tuskegee Peanut Man: George Washington Carver".  The play showcased the life and contributions of George Washington Carver.  In addition, students enjoyed lunch at the theatre and learned the history of Swift Creek Mill. This was an awesome learning experience for our students!

Students in Grades 2-5 participated in a Benchmark Celebration on Friday, February 22nd were treated to a Candy/Cake Dessert Bar!  Students earned tickets to this spectacular event by doing their best on their benchmark assessments for the second nine weeks and demonstrating our S.O.A.R. Expectations.  Desserts were provided by Cople teachers and staff, cake by Mrs. Devon Gooch and the amazing decorations were provided by our community partner, Mrs. Valerie Ashton of Parties by Valerie.
