By 2018, all instructional staff will be highly qualified and/or eligible for a full license within 60 days of employment, as evidenced by a database of newly hired teachers.
Activities and Strategies:
Hold individual conferences with non-highly qualified personnel at the 20-day and 40-day mark to discuss progress being made toward becoming highly qualified.
Reimburse non-highly qualified employees for the cost of assessment fees and/or tuition for courses required to attain highly qualified status.
Establish and maintain a database of all personnel which includes each employee’s credentials.
Establish and maintain a database of all applicants, as well as those persons actually hired from each recruitment effort.
Focus on recruitment of personnel with multiple qualifications.
