Objective #6
By 2018, all sports programs will develop student athletes with superior athletic skills, admirable character, excellent work ethic and personal commitment to academic achievement as evidenced by demonstration of the Indicators of Excellence.
Activities and Strategies:
Establish a committee comprised of the Athletic Directors, coaches, teachers, school and division administrators, parents and student athletes to develop a guiding document which defines a common set of Indicators of Excellence with regard to athletic skills, character, work ethic and academic achievement.
Ensure all coaches receive adequate training and monitoring related to implementing the common set of Indicators of Excellence.
Develop and implement a system for recognizing student athletes who demonstrate Indicators of Excellence.
